Con-Drain Company (1983) Limited is one of the most experienced sewer and watermain contractors in North America with 50 years in the business. It is also one of the largest contractors of its kind in Canada.
Back in December 1954, it was incorporated in Toronto, Ontario as a small concrete and drain company under the name of Con-Drain by the founding DeGasperis brothers. Over the years this tiny business has steadily expanded into a major operation within the land development industry and has spawned many related companies along the way. Since its inception, the company has out grown no less than four head office locations. Today, Con-Drain conducts business within the Greater Toronto Area, the Golden Horseshoe, Western Ontario, the Ottawa Region and beyond in other provinces as well as the United States.
When a client retains Con-Drain, they also have the advantage of having access to the services provided by other related and dynamic businesses. Companies in the Group construct roads; supply recycled and virgin aggregate materials; produce concrete pipe, precast units and lighting poles; manufacture valves and fittings; install gas lines, power lines, fibre optic cables, and street lighting; build houses and commercial and industrial buildings; and, develop large tracts of land for community living. Other related companies have constructed high tech communication systems, developed vineyards and built golf courses.
Con-Drain has hit the 50 year mark, the world is well into a new century, and the three DeGasperis brothers with their families have made a major impact on the land development business in the Greater Toronto area and beyond. Each of the companies in the Group continue to grow and flourish. New companies are being created within the scope of the existing businesses.
