Eastgate Parkway
Located in the City of Mississauga, this Capital Works project involved the extension of Eastgate Parkway, a major arterial road, from Dixie Road to Eglinton Avenue including a storm outfall into Etobicoke Creek, relocation of watermains and crossings of major oil and gas pipelines.
ConDrain was the general contractor for the project that was designed by Dillon, Consulting Engineers for the City of Mississauga. Subcontractors included C & M McNally, Toronto Zenith Contracting and Con-Strada Construction.
The road construction, which was completed by Con-Strada, included 1.5 kilometres of 4 lane, divided carriageway arterial road. ConDrain installed 1.8 kilometres of 1800 mm to 3000 mm diameter storm sewer of which one kilometre was tunnelled through shale bedrock by C & M McNally.
The project extended over two construction seasons and was completed in 1994 within the stipulated 200 working days.
